Get answers to common questions about Pore Therapy.

Your esthetician begins with a consultation, deep cleansing, targeted exfoliation, and gentle extractions if needed. A mask, hydration, and finishing SPF complete the 60-minute treatment, leaving skin clarified with possible mild redness that fades within hours to a day.

Yes — Pore Therapy can be adapted for sensitive or acne-prone skin. We use gentler exfoliants, avoid aggressive extractions when necessary, and recommend a tailored homecare plan. Always disclose skin conditions so your esthetician can customize treatment safely.

For most clients we recommend scheduling Pore Therapy every 4–6 weeks for maintenance. More frequent sessions may be advised initially for heavy congestion; your esthetician will create a schedule based on results and your homecare routine.

Extractions are performed when necessary, always using sterile tools and careful technique to minimize discomfort and inflammation. Your esthetician will obtain consent first and adjust pressure for sensitive areas; post-care reduces redness and risk of irritation.

After your treatment avoid harsh exfoliants, retinoids, and direct sun exposure for 48 hours. Use gentle cleansers, moisturizers, and broad-spectrum SPF. Follow recommended products and methods your esthetician provides to protect results and soothe the skin.

Most side effects are mild and temporary, such as slight redness, sensitivity, or minor purging. Serious complications are rare. If you experience prolonged pain, swelling, or signs of infection, contact us promptly for evaluation and care.
