Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Retouch.

During the 60-minute Retouch, your stylist consults with you, refreshes the cut or color as requested, performs targeted treatments when needed, and styles your hair. Time prioritizes the services that best meet your goals and hair type for a polished finish.

We assess hair length, thickness, condition, and the scope of services during an in-person consultation. Based on these factors, your stylist provides a custom price. This ensures accurate pricing and avoids surprises while delivering the results you want.

Arrive with clean, dry hair if possible; this helps your stylist accurately assess texture and length. If you prefer, you can come unstyled — we’ll wash and prepare your hair as part of the appointment to achieve the desired finish.

Retouches are ideal for maintenance, root touch-ups, and small adjustments. Major color corrections or complete color transformations may require additional time and services. Your stylist will advise if a longer appointment or separate session is recommended for complex color work.

Frequency depends on your style and color. For root maintenance or precise trims, many clients schedule retouches every 4–8 weeks. If you have longer hair or are focusing on treatments, intervals may extend. Your stylist will recommend an ideal schedule.

Your stylist will recommend customized aftercare — usually gentle sulfate-free products, heat protection, and recommended treatment frequency. Follow home styling tips and return for suggested retouches to preserve shape and color. Proper at-home care extends the life of your salon result.
